Placing An Order, Q&A

How do I place an order?
Placing an order with Lindsey Cartwright Cakes is simple.
All you need to do is contact us.

There is some important information we will require in order to book you in and send you your personalised cake quote:
1/What date is your cake required for?
2/Please tell us the approximate amount of servings you would like from your cake.
3/The occasion.
4/Any design ideas you may have.

Once we have received your message we will aim to get back to you within 24 hours.

How much notice do you need to make a cake?
As long as your date is free then 2 weeks is enough notice. However, we would recommend booking in aprox 4/6 weeks in advanced to secure your date.

Do you require a deposit?
We require a 50% deposit for any cake order over the value of £30.00.
Your cake order will only be booked in, once deposit has been paid.
Deposit must be paid to secure your date required for your cake. If we don’t receive a deposit then we can not guarantee your date will remain available.
Final payment must be paid before delivery, or on collection. The deposit is non-refundable.

How can I pay?
At the moment you can either pay via bank transfer or cash. We have a few customers that pay the deposit via bank transfer and the rest as cash on collection. Which ever is easier for you.

Cake Changes
Any changes to your cake order will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date. After this time, changes may incur a charge.

Delivery or Collection?
Cake orders are collection only from my home business address.
The only cakes I am able to deliver are wedding cakes which include set up at the venue and any large cakes of 4 or more tiers.
When collecting your cake, you must keep to the agreed date and time.
Once collected, the order becomes your responsibility. We cannot be held responsible for any damages caused to the cake once it leaves the premises.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation, deposits are non-refundable. Any balance paid after the deposit however, can be refunded if the cake is cancelled over two weeks before the cake is due.

We reserve the right to photograph your cake order, before delivery/ collection for our own reference.

Release and Liability
We will work with you to ensure you are completely happy with your order. We shall not be held responsible for your cake order, once collected or delivered. We will advise on how to store your cake beforehand.
